ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable to join our Finance Department. This full-time permanent role will provide administrative support to our Finance team. The role will involve tasks such as account maintenance, processing invoices for payment while developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts
  • Responsible for the control and reconciliation of overheads
  • Prepare and generate end of month reports
  • Generate and manage intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist with the management of the fixed asset register
  • Calculate and post to the depreciation journals
  • Manage accruals and prepayments and post to monthly journals
  • Responsible for the completion of month end accounting processes
  • Assist with the weekly payroll of approximately 100 employees
  • Investigate and respond to any payroll queries along with generating payroll reports
  • Submit Revenue submissions PAYE
  • Generation of labour efficiency reports
  • Compiling of overtime reports
  • Provide support to Accounts Payable by liaising with subcontractors and suppliers while addressing and resolving any queries they may have in relation to their accounts
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs
  • Approve both new supplier and subcontractor setups
  • Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements
  • Assist in the preparation of audits by managing and maintaining supporting documentation, ensuring that this documentation is managed and stored correctly
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Degree qualified, in a financial discipline
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in the industry
  • Is pursuing an Accounting qualification or is part qualified
  • Payroll accreditation or extensive payroll experience is highly desirable
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and proven experience of using accounting package software
  • Excellent analytical ability with exceptional numeracy and data entry skills
  • Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English
