We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the Shannon region. This is a full time, permanent role which is responsible for the management of site Maintenance Technicians across a shift rotation. The Maintenance Supervisor will determine the allocation of staff required to meet shift targets while supporting the team to ensure minimum downtime, provide support with equipment breakdowns and oversee the execution of the maintenance plan.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Align the team with the Maintenance vision, mission, strategies and goals
- Maintain a high level of safety compliance during work execution and identify areas for improvement. Conduct safety walks and lead investigations into incidents
- Responsible for safe maintenance of plant and facility equipment and services, whilst maximising availability and efficiency
- Support in the continuous development of plant & facility strategies, management of facilities systems and equipment
- Ensure adherence to GMP and SOP requirements for tasks assigned
- Support the team by maintaining their training records to ensure our exceptional standards are being met. Maintain the team’s skills matrix and identify skills training as required
- Effectively assign work to the technicians while setting daily, weekly and monthly shift targets while subsequently supporting the team in meeting these targets
- Implement Preventative Maintenance plans and weekly production activities per plan
- Highlight capacity constraints at planning meetings
- Ensure timely closing of work orders, ensuring documentation is timely and accurate
- Minimizes maintenance downtime, schedule breaks in and identify and eliminate work flow interruptions. Ensures that there is an effective response to Emergencies & Critical Equipment Breakdowns
- Utilize maintenance troubleshooting skills and tools
- Ensure effective shift handover communication and documentation of complete activities and issue investigation documentation where required
- Escalate and communicate effectively to Engineering & Production FLM’s
- Ensure that all works are completed to an exceptional standard while identifying where improvements to these standards can be made
- Identify waste through effective oversight and review of work completed
- Support project implementation activities
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Degree qualified in either a Building Services or Engineering discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced production maintenance environment
- High level of proactivity to identify opportunities to improve delivery of services and improvement of both the infrastructure and equipment on site
- Target driven with a positive and professional demeanour
- Knowledge of Emaint systems is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to generate detailed reports
- Problem-solving – to take controlled / real time approach to problems and solve them
- Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask
- Capable of prioritising tasks whilst possessing the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, with fluent English
