We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician (with a Plumbing background) to join our Maintenance Division to cover a range of public sector and commercial contracts across the Leinster region, with a particular emphasis on the Dublin area. The successful candidate will deliver a variety of maintenance works in line with our exceptional quality standards and service level agreements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on plant and equipment while also handling reactive works over multiple contracts and services as required
- Conduct inspection and maintenance checks on both the buildings and equipment
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of hot and cold water systems in industrial and commercial buildings, drainage, sanitation, heating systems and electronic controllers
- Ensure that the specified products and equipment are installed in accordance with the manufacturer /design team’s specification – identify non-conformities and ensure they are closed out in a timely manner
- Conduct diagnostic works and fault finding to identify the best solution to resolving issues prior to undertaking corrective action
- Ensure clear and concise communication with management on the progress of works allocated, while following instruction from site personnel
- Adapt to changing instructions as per task specifications
- Liaise with clients, main contractors and other trades personnel as and when required
- Identify and escalate any potential health and safety issues to the client and implement corrective action in line with both company and client policies and procedures
- Respond to emergency callouts and reactive works as issued by Dispatch while ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, in full and within a timely manner
- Maintain records and generate a report on the completed works
- Take responsibility for the vehicle, plant and materials in your charge
- Will be required to have a full and thorough understanding of Health & Safety and Quality Procedures associated with all aspects of the job
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Mechanical Trade qualification in either Plumbing, Maintenance Technician or Fitter
- Minimum of 3 years’ extensive experience in a fast-paced Maintenance or Facilities Management environment
- Full Clean Driving Licence, as travelling to multiple sites will be required
- SOLAS Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Working at Heights training is essential
- Capable of prioritising tasks and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail with regards to level of output and quality
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proven health & safety awareness with a thorough understanding of Quality Systems
- In-depth knowledge of Facilities Management/Building/M&E Services
- Proven experience in a similar role
