We are currently recruiting for a Stores Person to join our team with a key client to assist in the management of all inventory control related activities within a production facility in the Shannon area. This is a full-time permanent role with the successful candidate expected to be flexible in their approach as they may be required to work early mornings and evenings on occasion as they strive to support the maintenance teams on site whilst enhancing the client relationship.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role will support the maintenance teams and must have experience working in a similar role carrying out duties within goods inward and stock control. The candidate will be required to have valid forklift certification training as they will assist with stock control requests while providing excellent support service to our maintenance teams and enhancing the client relationship.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee all deliveries into the facility, checking the condition, quantity of goods inwards and logging on the site inventory system
- Carefully pick, load and unload goods as and when required by maintenance personnel
- Inspect inventory for damages, faults and any issues that may compromise safety or quality management
- Highlight and communicate non-conformances to management
- Maintain and update the inventory management systems
- Monitor stock levels in line with demand and alert suppliers on requests to restock to ensure goods and materials remain above critical levels of supply
- Store inventory in a safe and accessible manner whilst preserving the quality of stock
- Prepare and record all delivery documentation
- Prepare and code all inventory for internal use within the facility
- Liaise with different maintenance personnel and departments as required including the Procurement Department
- Generate reports and issue to management for review and onward submission to the client
- Take responsibility for plant and materials in your charge
- Request and schedule additional resources where required
- Drive to meet targets, identify and implement innovations that will improve service delivery
- Ensure clear and concise communication with management as to the tasks allocated while following instruction from maintenance personnel
- Follow task briefings and appropriate safe systems of work and ensure that Company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- Adapt to changing instructions as per task
- Ensure that all health and safety legislation and company policies are adhered to, within own level of responsibility to include following Company processes, protocols and documentation
